Salt Lake Tribune reported that unemployed are discovering that "Job openings in their old fields exist. Yet they no longer qualify for them." Companies have found ways to be more productive with the current staffing levels. For unemployed this is an unwelcome trend, as they would have to retrain themselves to effectively compete for the same jobs, before they were laid off.
